have the lowest cancer screening rates and are usually diagnosed at
a later stage of cancer.

regular source of medical care.
Native Hawaiians are
disproportionately affected by diabetes. Obesity, food intake
habits, and sedentary lifestyles are factors that put them at
increased risk for diabetes.
Many Asian cultures
stigmatize mental health problems.
One in five API adults age 18 to 64 were uninsured
in 2002-2003, second highest
among the major racial/ethnic groups after Latinos (40%).
Asian/Pacific Islander adults and
teens have the lowest percentages of physical activity compared with
any other race/ethnic group in Los Angeles.
