Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholars Program
The Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholars program is
designed to increase the research capabilities of pre-docs for entrance into
Research I universities. CRETSCMHD worked with the Graduate Division Office of
Diversity, Outreach and Fellowships and reviewed applications of those students
who were competitively selected whose interests were in the area of
racial/ethnic minority health disparities and matched them with CRETSCMHD
mentors. Students were placed with the following faculty mentors:

Summer Program for Undergraduate Research
(SPUR)
SPUR offers undergraduate juniors with outstanding academic potential the
opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors on research projects. The
eight-week program is designed for students who plan to pursue the PhD degree
and enter academic careers. The summer students from the SPUR program were
funded by CRETSCMHD. Students were placed with the following faculty mentors:
