About Dr. Pourat:

Dr. Nadereh Pourat is an adjunct assistant professor of health services at the UCLA School of Public Health and a senior research scientist at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. She has studied access to and utilization of health services in a variety of settings, with particular focus on the elderly and underserved populations. Her research includes the study of issues facing the elderly within managed care, the effects of culture on elders’ use of services, access to care for ethnic minorities, trends in health insurance coverage of employees, and disparities in supplemental coverage of Medicare beneficiaries among others.

Dr. Pourat received her doctorate in health services at the University of California, Los Angeles..
