About Dr. Heilemann:

My research focuses on Latinos (primarily women and children of Mexican descent) in relation to resilience and other protective factors in the context of intergenerational cultural change, gender, past trauma, depression and post traumatic stress disorder. I use quantitative as well as qualitative methodology (phenomenology, ethnography, and grounded theory)." -Dr. Heilemann
