 About Dr. Harada:

Nancy Harada, Ph.D., P.T., is Adjunct Associate Professor with a joint appointment in the UCLA Schools of Public Health and Medicine. She is Associate Director of Health Services Research at the Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center of the VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System and Senior Researcher at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. Dr. Harada received a B.S. in Physical Therapy from CSU-Northridge, M.P.A. in Health Administration from the University of Southern California, and Ph.D. in Health Services from the UCLA School of Public Health. Dr. Harada's research interests include racial/ethnic disparities in the access and utilization of health care services. Specifically, some of her research projects focus on understanding utilization of postacute care by elderly stroke patients, developing programs to enhance physical activity for minority elderly, and understanding disparities in access and utilization of ambulatory care for racially and ethnically diverse veterans.
