Targeted Fields
Social Sciences. School of Engineering. School of Management. School of
Public Health. Including biostatistics, electrical engineering, epidemiology,
computer engineering, health administration, computer information systems,
economics, and medicine.
Open To
Prospective/Current Graduate Students.
Citizenship
Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be a full-time Hispanic student (one parent fully Hispanic or each
parent half Hispanic) enrolled during the next academic year in a masters or PhD
program, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 at one of the following selected
universities: Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, MIT, NYU,
Northwestern, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, University of Chicago, University of
Pennsylvania, UT Austin, and University of Virginia.
Stipend
A stipend of $10,000 for the first and second year.
Deadline
6/30/2004
Program Description
Up to 10 fellowships are awarded annually to help Hispanic American students
complete their graduate education. A renewal award for a second year is
contingent upon successful completion of a mandatory, paid 12 week summer
internship in New York City.
