About Dr. Towns: Los Angeles Department of Health Dr. Towns is a board certified physician in Preventative Medicine and Public Health. She previously served as the Director of Urban Health Initiative at Charles R. Drew University, and Regional Director for HOPE Worldwide HOPE for Kids Program. Dr. Towns earned her medical and public health degrees from the University of California, Los Angles and a bachelor degree from Stanford University. Her clinical experience includes work at Kaiser Permanente, the Watt Health Foundation and in private practice. Dr. Towns is committed to working with the community to plan and coordinate health promotion activities and develop effective new initiatives. |
